INDIAN NAVY INVITES FINAL YEAR ENGINEERING STUDENTS TO JOIN AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS UNDER UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME (UES) COURSE COMMENCING JUN 2016.

Applications would be invited from unmarried candidates who fulfill eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for grant of Permanent Commission (PC) in Executive (GS) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Executive and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES), for course commencing June 2016.

Educational Qualifications:- Applicant should be studying in the final year (4th / 5th year) in an AICTE recognised university with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks (till VIth semester for BE/BTech and VIII semester for 5 years Integrated Degree Course).
Age Limit :Candidate’s Age should be minimum 19 years and maximum 24 years or date of birth should be between 01st July, 02 Jul 1991 to 01 Jul 1996.
Educational Qualification :
  • Candidates should have pursuing in the Final Year (4th/5th year) in an AICTE recognized University with one of the relevant disciplines and have obtained a min. of 60% aggregate marks (till VIth Sem) are eligible to apply for Commissioned Officer post.
Selection Procedure :
  • First of all applicants will have to attend before a Naval Campus Selection Team for interview, Applicants shortlisted during campus interview will be called for SSB interview between Dec 2015 to Apr 2015.

Applications are invited from Male and Female from Indian Citizens as per Citizenship Act 1955 for the following courses commencing in July 2016 for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent / Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS :-Age: 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2016 i.e. Born between 02 July 1992 to 01 July 1996 (Both Dates inclusive). (Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relax able upto 26 years i.e. Born between 02 July 1990 to 01 July 1996 (Both dates inclusive).

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:- Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :- Candidates will be selected based on the performance in AFCAT & Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) (for candidates applied for technical branch only) followed by Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Medical Test and Interview conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs). Candidates applying for Flying Branch must appear for CPSS (Computerised Pilot Selection System), Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT).

Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Here in after referred to as PCM) subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army after 4 years of Basic Military Training and Technical Training thereafter with the terms and conditions given in the succeeding paragraphs.

 ELIGIBILITY: 

(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given to him by the Govt before declaration of result by SSB/joining training. 

(b) Age Limit: 
A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing i.e. the candidate should not be born before 01 Jul 1996 and not after 01 Jul 1999 (both days inclusive). The date of birth accepted by the office is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving certificate or in the certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. No other document relating to age will be accepted. The expression Matriculation/ Higher Secondary Examination Certificate in this part of the instruction includes the alternative certificate mentioned above.

Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point of time.
